Zip Expansion Vessel & Check Valve Kit 2 Litre Capacity.
Allows for expansion of the heated water and prevents expanded water entering other cold water draw off points!
The Zip expansion vessel and check valve kit (AQ2) may be needed if other cold water draw off points are close by to the installation. When the water is being heated in the cylinder this expanded water is absorbed in the cold water supply pipe-work or when fitted the expansion vessel AQ2.
The check valve supplied with the expansion vessel is a one way valve and also used to reduce incoming water pressure above desired levels, factory pre-set at <4bar. Therefore when fitted the cylinder is protected from any surging water pressures.
The check valve will help prolong the life of the cylinder and also serves to prevent the expanded water from the cylinder expanding to other cold water draw off points within the system!
