Are these components compatible with all radiators?
These air vents and blanking plugs typically feature a standard 1/2" BSP thread, which is compatible with many radiators.However, it's essential to verify the thread size and specifications of your specific radiator model to ensure proper fit.
What is the purpose of the Anthracite Radiator Air Vent and Blanking Plug?
The air vent allows for the release of trapped air within the radiator system, ensuring optimal heating efficiency and preventing cold spots.The blanking plug seals unused openings, maintaining system pressure and preventing leaks.
How do I install the air vent and blanking plug?
Turn off your central heating system and allow the radiator to cool completely. Place a container or cloth beneath the valve to catch any residual water. Using the appropriate tool (such as a radiator key or spanner), carefully unscrew the existing air vent or blanking plug by turning it counterclockwise. Apply PTFE tape to the threads of the new component to ensure a watertight seal.Screw the new air vent or blanking plug into place by turning it clockwise until secure.Avoid overtightening to prevent damage. Once installed, reopen any closed valves and restart your heating system. Check for leaks and ensure the radiator is heating evenly.
How do I maintain these components?
Regularly inspect the air vent and blanking plug for signs of wear, corrosion, or leaks. If you notice any issues, address them promptly to maintain the efficiency of your heating system.

These products will be delivered within the time stated. If you require delivery on a certain day please put this in the comments and we will aim to deliver on that day.
Certain products such as radiators are delivered after 5 working days, when purchasing a radiator please put in the desired delivery date which is 5 working days after ordering. In some cases, stock permitting, we can get radiators out sooner. Please call or put in the customer comments if you need something urgently and we will try our best.
