The Genwec Electronic Tap is a touchless, wall-mounted water tap designed for installation behind a mirror, offering a sleek and hygienic solution for modern washrooms. Constructed with a durable chrome-plated brass body, this tap features an integrated infrared (IR) sensor that automatically activates water flow when hands are detected within its sensing range of 50 to 100 mm.

The internal solenoid valve opens to supply water and closes immediately after hands are removed, ensuring efficient and water-saving operation. It comes with an 'L' shaped metal plate for secure wall mounting and includes key components such as the metal support structure, IR sensor, internal solenoid, and a battery box.

The tap operates on 6 VDC power, either through four AA batteries or an optional electronic adaptor (100-240 VAC / 6 VDC, 50/60 Hz). It has a standby power consumption of less than 2 mW and a usage consumption of less than 4 W. Designed for cold water use only, it is compatible with a water pipe diameter of G1/2” and suitable for water pressure ranging from 0.05 to 0.8 MPa.

To install the Genwec Electronic Tap, ensure that the hole for the water outlet and the housing for the IR sensor are correctly positioned. The sensor must remain unobstructed to avoid accidental activation without the presence of hands.

Begin by marking the holes on the wall for fixing the metal plate. Once marked, drill the holes, insert the nylon plugs, and securely fix the metal plate using the provided screws. The installation diagram specifies key measurements: the sensor outlet should be positioned with a diameter of 26 mm, and the bracket placement should align with distances of 65 mm, 76 mm, and 97 mm as indicated in the units (mm).

The water connection is G1/2", and the battery box should be mounted as shown in the diagram, ensuring convenient access for maintenance. During regular maintenance and cleaning, it is essential to keep the sensor free from obstructions and dirt. If cleaning is required, gently wipe the sensor lens with a soft cloth to maintain optimal functionality and prevent malfunction due to debris or smudges.
