Are Finns suitable for central heating systems?
The Finns can be plumbed into your central heating system, however we would not recommend that they are used solely as your main heating source. The Finns are ideal for heating areas under seating and smaller spaces where its difficult to fit a radiator. The Finn radiators will last for many years and certainly make a fantastic feature in any room around the home or commercial space.
What is the HS/Commodity Code for this item when exporting?
7322190000
How long do the Finns take to heat up?
The Finns are a big chunk of metal and classed as Steam Tubes, with 3 mm gauge steel walls, where standard central heating radiators can be less than <1mm gauge steel so the heat transfer is slower with Finned radiators. Expect outputs of >550 watts (1740BTU/hr) per meter length.
Will the Finn rust if not painted?
Yes, all steel products will rust in any environment and very quickly in humid spaces.
Can you install the Finns vertically?
Yes, you can install the Finns vertically, however please note when they are installed vertically the majority of the heat output will be lost to the ceiling space, heat rises.
What is the output of the Finns?
The Finns are rated at 550 watts per meter length this is equal to 1,727 BTU/hr.
What's type of paint can be used for the Finns?
Metal primer paint should always be applied first then finished with any heat resistant type radiator paint.
Are the Finns noisy when they are working?
Very silent, zero noise in operation.
Can you make bespoke Finns?
Yes, the Finns can be made to any length up to 3.5m, the connections can also be changed or moved on request. If you have a special design in mind we will certainly try to help.
