Yes, Finns can be joined together via couplings each finn would have one end threaded
What are the wall to pipe centres?
For both wall and floor mounted installations the wall to pipe centres are 90mm. If the finn is installed floor mounted without any skirting board fitted the fin can be fitted closer to the wall with pipe centres of 70mm!
Can the Finns be mounted on the wall?
Yes the Finns can be mounted on the wall "Horizontally" or "Vertically". If you are mounting this finn on the wall horizontally please let us know so we can weld the vent on the side. For floor and vertical installations the vent will always be welded on the top!
What size sleeving kit do I require?
If the Finns are mounted on the floor; the Prestige Adjustable Sleeving Kit ASK1 is made to measure, saving time and waste of materials. For wall mounted options, see sleeving kits ASK2 & ASK3Â
Can you use the Finns for all central heating?
The Finns can be easily plumbed into your central heating system, however we would not recommend that they are used solely as your main heating source! The Finns are ideal for heating areas under seating and smaller spaces where its difficult to fit a radiator. The Finn radiators will last for many years and certainly make a fantastic feature in any room around the home or commercial space!
What are the pipe centres of the Finn radiators?
If you are using standard radiator valves or valves purchased from our website then the pipe centres would be the width of the radiator plus 90mm - 45mm at both ends of the Finn!

How long do the Finns take to heat up?
The Finns are a big chunk of metal and classed as Steam Tubes, with 3 mm gauge steel walls, where standard central heating radiators can be less than <1mm gauge steel so the heat transfer is much quicker with standard radiators.Â
Will the Finn rust if not painted?
Yes all steel products will rust in any environment and very quickly in humid spaces!
Can you install the Finns vertically?
Yes you can install the Finns vertically, however please note when they are installed vertically the majority of the heat output will be lost to the ceiling space, "heat rises"!
What is the output of the Finns?
The Finns are rated at 550 watts per meter length this is equal to 1,727 BTU/hr!
What's type of paint can be used for the Finns?
Metal primer paint should always be applied first then finished with any heat resistant type radiator paint!
Are the Finns noisy when they are working?
Very silent, zero noise in operation!
What valves do IÂ need for this radiator?
The Finn radiators have standard 1/2 BSP fittings so all types of radiator valves are suitable. If the Finn is installed horizontally then you will need angled valves if your pipes are coming from the floor or corner valves if your pipes are coming from the wall.
Can you make bespoke Finns?
Yes, the Finns can be made to any length up to 1.95m, the connections can also be changed or moved on request. If you have a special design in mind we will certainly try to help.
