How many settings does the thermostatic element have?
The Finn thermostatic radiators are equipped with a mechanical regulator that allows you to smoothly control the temperature in the radiator between the range of 10 to C65 ° C. The Finn has 4 settings: Low, Medium, High and a frost protection setting!
Can i have a bespoke size finn?
Yes, for example if you would like a Finn with a length of 950mm we would charge you for the 1m finn! If you wanted a size of 940mm, we would charge you for the 900mm finn.
What is the warranty of the Finn?
The Finns are made from solid steel and will last a lifetime, however the element fitted is guaranteed for 2 Years only. The powder coating is guaranteed for 5 Years!
Are the Finns suitable for whole house heating?
The Finns are primarily for supplying background support heating. We would not recommend that they are used solely as your main heating source! The Finns are ideal for heating areas under seating and smaller spaces where its difficult to fit a radiator!
Will the Finns work with a timer?
The elements work very well with a plug in time control or controller at the power source!
What is the maximum size element for the Finn thermostatic?
The maximum size element we would use for the Finns is the 1.2kW!
Will the Finn rust if not painted?
Yes all steel products will rust in any environment and very quickly in humid spaces!
What is the most popular finish of the Finn?
Bare Metal Lacquered!
Can you install the heaters Vertically?
Yes they can however the Finns are more energy efficient when fitted "Horizontally". If the Finns are to be fitted "Vertically" then the majority of the heat generated will be at the top of the radiator "Heat Rises" and therefore less energy efficient. Please note if the Finns are installed vertically the element must always be at the bottom of the radiator.
Can you manufacture different sizes?
Yes the Finn`s can be custom made to order at no extra cost from the original sizes!
What colours are available?
The Finns are supplied standard finish bare metal, however we can spray them to any RAL colour of choice or they can be hand painted using any metal based radiator paints! See our colour chart in our PDF downloads.
What is the output of the Finn?
The Finns are rated @ 550 watts per meter.
What is the waterproof rating of the thermostatic Finn version?
The IP rating is IP54 therefore suitable for zone 2 bathroom installations!
What type of paint can be used for the Finns?
Metal primer paint should always be applied first then finished with any heat resistant type radiator paint.
Are the Finns noisy in operation?
The Finns are silent in operation!
Can I return the radiator if its not suitable?
Yes, however if the customer has requested the radiator is painted to a colour of their choice they are then not returnable.

What is the size of the element?
The element heads are roughly 120mm so please allow this extra measurement when working out what size you require. For example if you order a 1000mm Finn, when the element is fitted it will be 1120mm in total.
