What is the warranty on the Madeira?
The warranty is 5 years on the radiator and 2 years on the electrical components.
Where is the Madeira manufactured?
The Madeira is manufactured in Italy by De’Longhi.
Where can this towel rail be installed?
The Madeira is designed and made to heat domestic rooms or similar. It must be permanently mounted on a wall as described in the instructions. If it is installed in the bathroom it must be installed outside of zone 1 and in a way that the electronic controls may not be touched by someone in the bath or shower. The electronic controls and other control devices must always be in zone 3.
Clever design prevents towels covering the fan heater?
The Madeira electric towel rail with fan heater have an inbuilt "safety thermostat sensor" this sensor will turn the "Fan Off" if the air circulation around the fan is either reduced or obstructed.
What is the recommended installation height of the Madeira?
Delonghi recommend 600 mm from floor to bottom of the fan to prevent small children from touching the hot rails. However it can also be installed 300 mm from the floor if there are no vulnerable persons using the bathroom!
Is the towel rail easy to install?
It is recommended that the appliance is installed by a qualified professional, this is because of the electrical connections. Your towel rail will come with all the screws and anchors which are required to put your heater on the wall. There is also a mounting template found on the back of the packaging for your convenience.
Will this towel rail get too hot to touch?
The Madeira is designed to heat rooms so some parts of the product will become very hot and possibly cause burns. Attention must be given where children and vulnerable people are present.
The Madeira has different operating modes, what are they?
Pilot Wire Mode: The home must be fitted with an automation system supporting this type of technology.
Comfort Mode: The temperature corresponds to the temperature desired by you. The factory set temperature is 19. To modify this use the “+” and “-” buttons on the remote control.
Night Mode: The temperature set is 3.5 lower than the comfort mode temperature and never above 19. This mode is recommended during night-time hours and in case no people are in the room for more than 2 hours Anti-Freeze Mode: The temperature set point is fixed at 7. When the room temperature drops below 7 the Madeira will start heating with low energy consumption. It will prevent the room temperature from reaching freezing point. We suggest using this when no one is in the room for more than 1 day.
Cycle Function: This will heat the room or dry towels or garments more quickly. The appliance heats for 60 minutes at maximum power, irrespective of the set temperature. After 60 minutes, the cycle function will be deactivated.
Fan Heater Function: Use the fan heater to heat the room quicker. The fan heater heats the room for 15 minutes irrespective of the temperature set previously.
Does the Madeira come with a remote control?
Yes, the remote control communicates with the appliance by infrared rays. The distance between the remote control and the receiver must not be more than 5m.
How do I maintain the Madeira?
Before cleaning or maintaining, always turn off the appliance. Clean the appliance with a damp cloth only then dry with a dry cloth. The fan is fitted with a dust filter which retains the impurities in the air taken from the room. To clean, remove the filter at the side. Use a vacuum cleaner to remove the dust deposited on the filter. We recommend that you clean the filter at least once a month.

Delivery Times
All products will have a delivery time stated in their description. Next Working Day - these products will be delivered Next Working Day if ordered before 12.00, or in certain circumstances up until 4:00 pm. Please call if you require a Next Working Day and we will try our best to get it to you. Certain products will state within 48hrs, within 3 Days or within 5 days. These products will be delivered within the time stated. If you require delivery on a certain day please put this in the comments and we will aim to deliver on that day.
Certain products such as radiators are delivered after 5 working days, when purchasing a radiator please put in the desired delivery date which is 5 working days after ordering. In some cases, stock permitting, we can get radiators out sooner. Please call or put in the customer comments if you need something urgently and we will try our best.
