No, the economiser fin is Bidirectional Flow & Return
Can the Economiser fin be wall mounted?
Yes, the Finns can be mounted on the wall "Horizontally". We would weld the legs at the rear of the radiator. If you are mounting this fin on the wall horizontally please let us know so we can change the fixing points.Â
Can you use the Economiser Finns for all central heating?
Yes, the Economiser can be easily plumbed into your existing central heating system.

What are the pipe centres of the Finn radiators?
If you are using standard radiator valves or valves purchased from our website then the pipe centres would be the width of the radiator plus 90mm - allow 45mm at both ends of the Economiser Finn!

How long do the Finns take to heat up?
Very quickly, however the Economiser Finns are a large chunk of steel, the tubes are classed as Steam Tubes, with 3 mm gauge steel walls. Standard central heating radiators can be less than <1mm gauge steel so the heat transfer is quicker with standard radiators than fin radiators.Â
Will the Finn rust if not painted?
Yes, all steel products will rust in any environment and very quickly in humid spaces!
Can you install the Finns vertically?
Yes, you can install the Finns vertically, however please note when they are installed vertically the majority of the heat output will be lost to the ceiling.
What's type of paint can be used for the Finns?
Metal primer paint should always be applied first then finished with any heat resistant type radiator paint!
Are the Finns noisy when they are working?
Very silent, zero noise in operation!
What valves do IÂ need for this radiator?
The Finn radiators have standard 1/2 BSP fittings so all types of radiator valves are suitable. If the Finn is installed horizontally then you will need angled valves if your pipes are coming from the floor or corner valves if your pipes are coming from the wall.
Can you make bespoke Finns?
Yes, the Finns can be made to any length up to 3.5m, the plumbing connections can also be changed or moved on request. If you have a special design in mind we will certainly try to help.

Delivery Charges
All deliveries have a standard charge of £8.50 + VAT up to 20kg. Where stated, certain products are delivered FREE of charge (mainland UK only*). Check the description of the desired product and if it says free delivery then you will not be charged for delivery*
Extra Charges
Where the weight is over 20kg we reserve the right to charge more dependent on product type and delivery postcode, our customer service team will be in touch and inform you of any extra charges before we despatch.
Delivery Times
All products will have a delivery time stated in their description. Next Working Day - these products will be delivered Next Working Day if ordered before 12.00, or in certain circumstances up until 4:00 pm. Please call if you require a Next Working Day and we will try our best to get it to you. Certain products will state within 48hrs, within 3 Days or within 5 days. These products will be delivered within the time stated. If you require delivery on a certain day please put this in the comments and we will aim to deliver on that day.
Certain products such as radiators are delivered after 5 working days, when purchasing a radiator please put in the desired delivery date which is 5 working days after ordering. In some cases, stock permitting, we can get radiators out sooner. Please call or put in the customer comments if you need something urgently and we will try our best.
